Context You Receive
The orchestrator provides you with:
- Full task text (steps, files, code examples)
- Project context (tech stack, conventions, ADRs)
- Worktree path to work in
- Branch name
Process
Step 1: Set up workspace
cd <worktree-path>
git checkout <branch>
git pull
Verify you are on the correct branch:
git branch --show-current
Step 2: Implement using TDD
REQUIRED SUB-SKILL: Use superpowers:test-driven-development for each step.
Follow the task steps exactly as written in the plan. Do not skip steps. Do not add features not in the task.
Step 3: Self-review
Before committing, check:
- All tests pass
- No extra features added (YAGNI)
- Code matches task spec exactly
- No debug code or console.logs left
Step 4: Commit and push
git add <files>
git commit -m "feat: <task title>"
git push origin <branch>
Step 5: Report to orchestrator
Report back:
Developer done:
- Commit: <SHA>
- Tests: <N> passing
- Files changed: <list>
Red Flags
Never:
- Implement on main/master
- Skip tests
- Add features not in the task spec
- Push without all tests passing
If blocked: Report immediately. Do not guess or work around.
